Officially a blogger...

Well, everyone, I've officially been turned on to blogging!  I figured, now that I have a family I have something to talk about right? Let me tell you how our lives have been going over the past few months...


Danny & I met through mutual friends at random parties and hang outs and had an immediate, very strong attraction to one another.  Our first date was the result of a bet that he lost!  We bet on the Superbowl... I said the Saints would win and he said the Colts would.  Whoever lost had to take the other one out.  As you all know, the Saints won :) and he took me out the next night to Pizza Factory [my favorite] and to see my first 3-D movie, Avatar!  We spent every day together from there on out!  We fell in love so fast and so hard and we both just knew it was meant to be.  I swear, it wasn't even the 2nd week we had been dating and we were already talking marriage and family and so excited about our future together!  Well, within a month we were pregnant and just didn't know it...


We found out we were pregnant on April 17th and were so excited.. well, he was beyond excitement, I was VERY shocked!  We told our closest family & friends immediately and within a week everyone knew.  We were so excited we couldn't keep it a secret!  We found out it's a boy in July and were very thrilled of that news because we were both hoping for a boy, however, would have been happy with a girl too!  His name is going to be Kyson Daniel Perez and he will be here with us by December 17th... a Christmas baby! 


Let me tell you... I have had an easy breezy pregnancy and have enjoyed every minute of it... with the exception of a few ups and downs in between :\  It's been harder emotionally than physically.  But I have enjoyed every movement he makes and every time Danny kisses my belly :)  We have something amazing coming sooner than we know it.  Today, I am almost exactly 6 months pregnant and ready to be done... more like ready to have him here.  We have started to decorate his nursery and can't wait till we have his crib and changing table all set up and it's all put together.  His room is going to be in sports.. because we couldn't come to an agreement between Boston Red Sox and LA Dodgers... so we came to a conclusion, just sports :)


Some of the adventures Kyson has already been on include... New Orleans [with mom], river rafting down the Virgin River, hiking in Zion, plenty of camping and swimming all summer, softball and 4-wheeling.  He's going to love the outdoors and I have a feeling, he's going to be a deep sleeper haha!  My mom and best friend, Jadee, are putting together an open house baby shower for me on Friday, October 8th and I can hardly wait to see everyone and see what's left for us to buy for him. 


Anyway, just a little update of how my pregnancy has been and how we are doing.  Danny is going to be an amazing father, well, he already is with his 6 year old daughter, Arianna.  However, he doesn't get to be a full-time daddy with her because she lives miles away in Ohio.  We feel so blessed to be starting our own little family and to be having a baby boy!  Thank you all for your love and support!
